The Centre
The Christ Church Centre
The Christ Church Centre is part of our service to the wider Henley community. We have several rooms and halls available to community groups who need space to carry out their work. Those groups range from nursery school to dementia day-care, from exercise classes to serious opera lectures. If we can provide space for your group/activity please do get in touch. The Centre Managers (Julie and Mary) can be contacted on 01491 577733, managers@christchurchhenley.org.uk
Our spaces - your groups.

We offer spaces for all kinds of community groups. Some have been using our facilities for many years. Descriptions below.

The Sanctuary.
This is the area used by the church on Sundays and other days for worship, but is also used by choirs, orchestras, the wonderful Opera Prelude, as well as larger meetings and occasional election hustings. The Sanctuary will seat 250 comfortably. The angels are optional!

The Pither Hall

The Pither Hall is the largest and oldest of our halls. Current users include ballet classes, zumba groups and our amazing FROGS (FRiends Of God.) carer and toddler group. The Pither will seat 200 in "Conference Mode" and 125 in "Banqueting mode". Access to the kitchen can be arranged if needed.

The Kempster Hall
The Kempster Hall is our newest Hall, a light and modern space opening out onto the Courtyard. Currently used by AA, Parkinsons Exercise Class, occasionally by our fabulous "Woven" Nursery School and many others. The Kempster will seat 80 in "Conference Mode" and 40 in "Board Room mode", ie gathered round tables.

Morris 2.
Morris 2 is the largest of our "small" rooms, seating 60 in "Conference" mode, 30 for "Boardroom" meetings. It is currently home to Bluebells Dementia Day Care, to our Memory Cafe, to singing and art-based groups and is much used for committee and board meetings.

The Concourse
The Concourse is the open area which links all our rooms. The Church itself hosts coffee-mornings, meals and meetings here, and the Concourse is available as a dining area for larger bookings. It will seat 100 if needed.

How much?

So what are the rates for room hire? We are not here to make lots of money but to enable community development. So all our rates are negotiable, though we do need to charge! Get in touch with our wonderful Centre Managers, Julie and Mary, details below, to talk through your needs and what we can do to help.
